What is a Micro Wedding?

Have you ever dreamed of a wedding in a beautiful location with a ceremony overloooking the water, bridge, and boats going by to be followed by gourmet food, dessert, and spending precious time with your closest friends and family?  Those dreams can come true and even be a fraction of the cost with a micro wedding.

The national average cost of a wedding is $38,000.   In Minnesota, the average cost is estimated at over $20,000.    Exclusive Events now offers an alternative for only $2,500 with micro weddings (also called pop up weddings).  This alternative is a mix between a wedding at the courthouse or local chapel and a large wedding at a large venue.

A micro wedding is exactly what it sounds like.  It is a smaller and shortened version of a wedding.  These stree free weddings consist of a ceremony in a beautiful location followed by a reception with appetizers, dessert, a cash bar, and spending 2 hours with up to 50 of your closest friends and family.   The best part of it all?  Everything is taken care of!  It is a stress free affair!  A photographer, a DJ, an officiant, decor, and the little details are all included to make sure your day is exactly what you hoped it would be and more!

Micro Weddings are great options for:  Couples who want a simple and elegant wedding, Vow Renewal, Elopement, Destination Wedding

Ok so I have recently started on my new photography journey as a full-time wedding photographer, to say I am excited is an understatement! Anyway I decided to get my old flickr account up and running and have decided to start my very first 365 Project. I decided that rather than just doing a standard 365 project that I would try and learn a little as I was going along and of course share the knowledge. I thought what better way to start than learning about what photography really is. I hope you like. Cameras   Cameras were invented long before the idea of photography. It evolved from 'camera obscure', meaning “dark room” in Latin. Ancient Han Chinese philosopher Mo Di was the first to discover the scientific principles of optics and pinhole cameras. Since then, it has changed through generations of technology. A camera is defined as an optical tool to record and capture images. These images can be both individual still photographs or a sequences of images forming videos and movies. The functioning of a camera is very close to the functioning of the human eyes. Its remote sensor device senses subjects from distance instead of having physical contact. Lenses Camera lenses, also known as photographic lens, is an optical lens attached to a camera body. It can be used on still cameras, video cameras, telescopes, microscopes, or other bodies. Most of time you can switch lenses for different apertures and focus lengths. Photography The word “photography” means “drawing with light” in ancient Greek. It is a result of the evolution of camera technologies. The first known photograph was created by British inventor Thomas Wedgwood, using paper or white leather treated with silver nitrate.    Originally, all photography was monochrome, or black and white. Colour photography was explored in 1840s by having extremely long exposures, normally hours or days for camera images, to stop it fading quickly when exposed to strong light. Film photography was th
